Hello Mr Furay
I need to take a minute to stop and thank you for all the happiness you have helped bring
to me on this journey through life. At age 53 I suddenly realized that its time to thank
all of those in music who have made my life such a fun trip. In college, I painted my
heroes names on my apartment walls wherever I lived. you were up there with Clapton,
Young, Allman and a select few. I went to college in n carolina, so imagine the 1st time I
heard "crazy eyes" so far back in the 70's. Any-how, I'm still gigging thanks to
the inspiration from you & the other greats. SHF #1 is still my favourite album of all
time. Thanks so much for the great ride. God has blessed you.

Hi Richie....Thanks for all the great memories over the
years. Just finished watching you and POCO again on the DVD and just can't believe all the
time has passed and you guys are as good as ever. I've not gotten into your Christian
music being Jewish, but the soundbites show it is just as good musically as ever. I hope
you'll do more work with POCO and even another country rock cd. God bless, Robert

I have 8 kids and one tradition I have is after the
birth of a child, I go home from the hospital euphoric (and exhausted) to deal with the
other kids and get some rest for a couple of days before my wife comes home. When I arrive
at home, first thing, I go to my stereo and play "Sweet Love" at full blast.
"Sun shining in the night, a new born child..." Thanks for the song, Richie, and
see you at Wildwood Springs May 28.

Richie - I've been a fan since Buffalo Springfield, and
then since I picked up my first Poco album (which was a long long time ago). I saw you
with Poco in 1973 at the Cow Palace in Kansas City... .stood smack in front of the stage
at your feet and I left that show saying "WOW." Since then, I've lost touch with
your activities, but tonite I was just cruising the web and I thought "hey, I wonder
if he has a site". Richie - I collect musical memorabilia and I could be thrilled if
there was a way that I could ship you a CD cover to sign for me. I will pay postage both
ways. Whether you choose to do or not, I'm still a huge fan. Keep it coming....

I was on Al Perkins' website and saw your name on a
link. You won't remember me but I sang with you and Chris Hillman on a Rusty Weir album
out in L.A. around '74 or'75. I am glad you are well (aside from the hip problem) and
following your heart. I play guitar at our little church here in Cisco. We have a small
congregation and like your church we are pretty laid back. I am 62 now with grey hair, but
still have all of it. Will be praying for a successful hip operation and recuperation for
you this month. Maybe I'll talk to you again sometime. Later, Mack Tubb

Hi Richie, It was a fantastic concert last summer when
you shared the stage with Poco "On the Waterfront" in Rockford. After the
concert it was a treat saying hello and thanking you for making the music I've enjoyed for
the past 37 years. I am waiting in anticipation for your new album, "Heartbeat Of
Love", to be released. I've heard you have an all-star group of musicians and friends
contributing to the project. Best wishes. Steve

Wow- I just picked up the CD to BS's "Again"
this weekend- I had not listened to my vinly recording of that album in about fifteen
years. Anyway, that started me down this road today which lead to this site. I have to say
that I started playing music in part becasue of that album. My cousin sent me a cassette
one day that had "Again" on one side and the Blind Faith album on the other
side. I also heard B B King and Cream that day, and got serious about playing guitar. Been
following through BS, Poco, SHF, and I dug up a copy of "I've Got A Reason"
decades ago. Your testimony is quite provacative to me. Subtract the drugs, and the
musicians you've worked with had much more worldly success than the ones with whom I've
worked but there's a lot of similarity. Unfortunately, my wife who was a Christian when we
met (the drummer introduced us) couldn't hang on after almost 26 years of being unequally
yoked and so about eighteen months after my salvation she left and we've been divorced for
about six months. If it were not for the grace of God, I'd not be here today to thank you
for your music and testimony. jte

Hello Richie, Greetings from Alaska !!! I just hit your
website and listened to the version of KIND WOMAN you have available for listening... I
have heard 100's of versions of that song since seeing you first in 1971 at Blossom Music
Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and this version is the most beautiful and soulful version
I have ever heard. For some reason I kept hearing Neils voice (or someone who sounds like
him) on harmony. Very beautiful. Just what this boy needed for the cold Alaskan winter.

Hi Richie, Nice to see your site, and to hear Kind Woman
remade... I've always liked that song, and it was lovely to hear it "done
country". I have been a fan of Buffalo Springfield for a very long time, and I was
saddened to hear about Bruce Palmer leaving us as he did. Very sad. I'd like to thank you
personally for the excellent music you and the guys in the Springfield gave us all, and to
relate to you that many of your songs influenced me in a few things. I used to love
busking those songs.... I'm just clawing my way back to a healthier state of being, after
having been a bit ill in the lungs... no singing of any worth for a while. Did a gig the
other night, and was impressed with how well it went ... nearly on the same form as when I
was singing your songs to people passing in the street. And since I liked those songs and
the feeling I had whilst singing them, I feel that this latest gig had me maybe a good bit
closer to how I used to sound, and used to feel doing music. Like you, I had a change in
career (now an applied educational psychologist specialised in autism issues for adults);
but I still love the music. Gonna sing one or two of yours at my next gig, and let you
know how it goes :) Best wishes to you and yours, Richie. David

Dear Richie, I still remember the first time that I
listened to "Deliverin'", my first encounter with Poco. At that time, I was
running from the Lord as a rebellious teenager brought up by Christian parents, listening
to the likes of Black Sabbath, etc. and even though you weren't a Christian at the time,
the music was so joyous and refreshing, I became an instant fan. In 1974, I coincidentally
returned to the Lord, and was so delighted when you released "I've Got a
Reason". It has remained one of my all time favorite albums, and I was pleased when
it was finally released on CD along with the other 2 Wounded Bird CD's. So I just ordered
"I am Sure" and "Seasons of Change" which I had on LP, and your book
about Buffalo Springfield. I have actually found myself praying for Neil Young, he is also
one of my favorite Singer/Songwriters, who I would love to visit with in Heaven. I attend
a church now in Livermore CA, that is loosely affiliated with Calvary Chapel, Cornerstone
Fellowship, and we would love to have you visit and sing. Let me know how I might
facilitate that if possible. We have about 4,000 people in our church, and there have to
be some Richie Furay fans!! God Bless You in your work for the Lord!!

Richie - 1/10/06 I wanted to write and say hello and
thank you for all the years that you have extended your music to our lives. I am 55 and a
retired drummer. Had to retire 'cause of arthritis and carpel tunnel in both wrists. I
sometimes miss it, but I still enjoy listening to great music, and I have a nice cd
collection to which it keeps growing for some unknown reason. Yuk yuk. I'm a first time
visitor to this website and may I say it is a "too cool" website also. The main
reason I write is I wanted to share this prayer with you that I found on the rock group
Blackfoot's website. I don't know who wrote it, but it was written for their late drummer
Jakson Spires who passed away in April '05. I thought when I read this that it might help
someone who has lost a loved one. I hope you don't mind if I send this to to you. PRAYER
OF SOLACE May Christ support us all the day long, til the shadows lengthen, and the
evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over, and our work
is done. Then in his mercy may he give us a safe lodging, and holy rest and peace at the
last. Amen Richie I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but I thought even though it is a
native American type prayer it might just bring it all home to the heart of someone in
need. I guess I got a little emotional because of the passing of Mr. Lou Rawls this last
week. He was a one-of-a-kind singer for sure. My favorite song of his is "You'll
Never Find" Anyway mi amigo take care, be safe, have a happy new year, and may God
bless you and your family. Thanks again for your musical artistry sir. Sincerely, George

I was there in San Francisco for your band's club dates (1978?). You have been a bridge

Recently I've been listening to the early Poco cds when you were w/ the band. Your songs
are so full of tenderness. What could be more powerful than "Sweet Lovin"? And

Hey Richie, About 2 weeks ago I was riding the train
into Cambridge for a seminar on "Non-Violent Communication" (which is actually
quite impressive)and saw in a local paper that Poco was playing at the Topsfield Fair in
MA!! I hooted out loud! Well I just had to take the afternoon off and run down there to
catch the show. Well I have been out of the Poco loop for awhile ( you know getting
married, having babies, work, interpreter school for ASL ) and did not realize then that
you had moved on. What a great show...Rusty and Paul sounded just incredible...their
voices and instruments. I stay a bit and hoped for an autograph and one of the roadies saw
that I had the cover to Deliverin' and stated "Any fan that has been around as long
as you have definitely deserves and autograph....a few moments later he returned with both
Rusty and Pauls autographs!! All of this lead me to your webpage...I hope you may have a
chance to read the email I sent to you regarding spirituality....it is so worth the read.
Then this weekend I was in a store and was passing some CD's and I saw the Legacy CD,
which of course I purchased....I could have sworn I heard your voice on a few
songs...unmistakable!! Hope you can find your way to the East Coast soon. All of this
revisiting of the band in the last week has really taken me back to a more carefree time
in my life. Your songs with Poco have and will continue to stay with me......thanks!! God

Being a pretty "straight" girl of the 80's; I
don't know much about Richie or the music of the 70's, however, I got really curious to
know more after your appearance at the Loggin's and Messina concert I attended in
Minneapolis the other night. My husband performed a little web search and found your
website, wow what a wonderful surprise to find out your a brother!!! Its so refreshing to
find someone in the music industry who walks in the ways of the Lord. My husband and I
have full time jobs but God called us to lead an outreach to the at-risk youth in our
area. Feel free to check out our website to find out more. God Bless you, Becky

Got home from work Friday night, flipped through the
local paper, and my eyes almost bugged out when I saw Richie Furay was going to be at the
Overture Center in Madison. Holy cow! Listening to BS and Poco was always such a thrill -
especially seeing Poco in concert a couple times. I'm so glad I came down for the show -
just wish my son hadn't been at a sleep over. Richie, your voice sounds as great as ever!
Don't ever stop singing. Just hearing you sing Kind Woman live again was the best. Hope
you come through Madison or Milwaukee again sometime, so I can bring my family. THANKS!

Hi Richie, My husband Steve and I saw you at Shank Hall
in Milwaukee on the 13th of September and it was definitely a thrill. We were the pair
married 35 years to your 38, remember? We've seen you in concert several times over the
years but never had the opportunity to talk to you. Although I do remember you being in
the audience of Andrew Gold show, seems like forever ago and saying "Hello" to
me in that amazing voice of yours. You never disappoint us with your voice and words and
thank you so much for still sharing it with us. I really hope that you can find your way
back this way very soon, now you're back in my life full force. I dug out all the old
vinyl with anything Richic Furay on it. Please tell Nancy that it was more than a delight
to talk to her at the show. Love you.

saw Richie last nite in Chicago. What a great show! And
what a great guy, true gentleman. I had the good fortune to say hello to Richie outside
the club and he was very generous with his time. He told me he was a bit tired as he
munched on some candy for energy. I asked him to play Sad Memory but he said he wasnt sure
they would play it since they had playd it recently. But lo and behold, after a great
story about how he wrote his first song for BS while tooling with his acoustic guitar as
Neil walked in and said "ive gotta do a guitar part over that," Richie launced
into a great rendition of the song. That and Clancy made the nite for me. He did new
stuff, POCO, SHF, two very nice devotional songs and about 7 Springfield songs. Voice was
never better and musicianship excellent. He evoked great memories. Thanks Richie for a
truly great evening. Bob Nemzin

Richie, Truly, with all sincerity, respect, &
appreciation, You have been a wonderful inspiration to me ... for many years! Indeed, I
have been deeply moved by ALL of your music; and, your testimony has been VERY encouraging
as well! Having been raised in a Judeo-Christian home, with a great family history of
musical talent & appreciation, I feel so BLESSED! Significantly, I have walked a
"razor's edge" of FAITH, HOPE, & LOVE, to get where I am today. Thru all
life's many storms, as well as blessings, I've always had MUSIC to help; my interests
include CLASSIC GOSPEL, BLUEGRASS, BLUES, CLASSIC COUNTRY, & CLASSIC ROCK --- ALL of
which have been gifts from GOD that speak to whatever I'm experiencing at any given time!
Indeed, it is a "GOOD FEELIN TO KNOW ... THAT SOMEBODY LOVES YOU" --- ESPECIALLY
WHEN THAT SOMEBODY IS A LOVING, ALMIGHTY GOD! So, now that I am NOT a well man, having
been thru multiple brain surgeries, & am a DISABLED VETERAN, I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL
THE BLESSINGS IN MY LIFE; AND, I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW HOW TRULY INSPIRATIONAL YOU ARE
TO ME. THANK YOU SO MUCH, RICHIE! GOD BLESS YOU! With sincerest Grace, Peace & Love,

Hey Richie! Great to know that one of my musical heroes
is well and walking in the "light". I had the pleasure of being asked to MC a
Bruce Carroll concert this last June to debut his latest CD ("Big World"). Bruce
had a nice line up of Nashville musicians with him that evening. Among them was Al
Perkins. I had met Al after they played during an afternoon worship service and told him
that it had been 33 years since I had seen him perform on stage. He says, "Oh yeah?
Where was that?" I told him it was at the "Festival of Hope" on Long Island
and he was playing with Stephen Stills and Manassas. We had a great conversation about the
music and musicians of that time. I mentioned that I had read about him leading you to the
Lord and that you now pastor a church out in Boulder. A friend of mine, who was a
Poco/Buffalo Springfield/Flying Burrito Bros. enthusiast, had loaned me a copy of "In
My Father's house" a couple of years ago. It was a real thrill to talk about the
music and the common bond of faith. Al is a real 'down to earth' kind of guy. I felt like
I had encountered a walking slice of music history. As I key this message I'm listening to
"I Am Sure". Thanks for all the music you've made over the years and thanks for
your witness. It's a thrill to call you my brother in the Lord. God Bless! Bill Gault

Hi Richie: I just watched the relatively new Poco DVD
from Nashville and it was great to see you again with your friends playing that great
music. I saw Poco (minus you) in Rockland, Maine in September of 2003. I now work as a
school counselor (and have been an educator for the past 31 years) and when I am not
counseling, I m playing music (guitar and harmonica) in a country-folk band. I like you am
from Ohio- the Clevland area. When I was teaching in Maryland, I hired one of your frat
brothers from Otterbein named Arthur Deeks. Remember him? He was a history teacher for me
when I was asst. principal. He spoke of you once we discovered our mutual interst in
music. Art gave me a copy of your lp on Roulette with the Au Go Go Singers. I don't see
that record too often and treasure the fact that Art gave it to me. A very young picture
of you is on the back with Stephen Stills and the others. I'd love to get a message from
you so if you can e-mail me at::: cjewitt@msad5.org, I'd appreciate it. Any tour plans

I've recently discovered the more recent CD's and also really enjoy them. Thanks so much

Dear Richie, From a fellow musician your music brings on
a Good Feeling To Know!!! Eventhough we have never met,,thank you so very much for your
musical gifts to the world. I was just about 8 years old when Buffalo Springfield was
rocking but your song writing, Lead Vocals, and even more so your great back ups on
everyones songs were inspiring (its a selfless gift to let go of ego and make someone else
sound even better). Then Poco!!! I remeber working for my brothers buisness in S.F. 76-77
and we would listen to Poco in the office and on the road,,all the while working on my
Bass & Guitar chops as well as my voice. Now I have my dream, my own studio @ my home.
My band and I have finished one album & have started right away on our second one!!
You have been a inspiration and a friend thru music for a long time! I hope this note

Hi Richie, I was wondering if I could get your thoughts
on being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as a fan I was let down because I
was hoping to hear the blend of you and Steven Stills singing again, instead what we got
was a CS&N/B-Springfield Hybred, my fellings were that it mock the memory of one of
rocks greatest bands,on the other hand I feel lucky because I was at The Rolling Stones
show @ the Hollywood Bowl presented by local radio station KHJ, which you guys were one of
the opening acts,I remember just wanting to hear you sing "Nowadays Clancy can't even
sing" which you did, and it made my evening (Thanks)..anyway I know that you can't

these 2 subjects...Peace Always....Rock

If Richie Furay had never written anything other than
"Kind Woman" (just about as perfect as a song can be), his place in music
history would have been secured. The fact that he also wrote "Crazy Eyes" and
"What If I Should Say I Love You" -- in addition to so many other great songs --
is testament to his contributions. "Thanks Richie" for all the great music. I'm
still amazed how the material from the late 60's and early 70's still sounds so fresh and
original.

I was listening to Springfield's version of "Kind

on the song. I know that the Springfield at that time was no longer working together on

enlighten me, I would surely appreciate it. And of course, if Richie could provide the
info himself, it would be great. An old time BS, POCO and SHF fan, Bob PS....saw Richie

Richie, I grew up listening to Buffalo Springfield and
all the groups that it splintered into - I was the only one in my gang that had heard of
Poco - all those years of reading liner notes! Now that Bruce Palmer has left us, the
chance to see the original lineup of B/F is gone - I was too young to see you then - but
Jim Messina is still around and Neil seems ready or at least wistful on Silver and Gold.
How 'bout it? Buffalo Springfield again? Even Cream got together for a gig at the Royal
Albert Hall! I have been listening to the boxed set of Buffalo Springfied cd's that my
wife gave me last Chrismas and as always, am struck by how your songs still ring true.
Thanks for writing them - I always feel young again when I hear Sad Memory and Do I have
to Come Right Out and Say It!

The first time I heard Springfield I was hooked, and
have remained so to this day. Through Poco and the SHF days I have stayed with your music
and consider you to be one of the founders country rock, or in other words, today's
country. Your more recent work touches me in a different way, but all music should create
or enhance emotion, and your's does. I thank you and urge you to come to South Florida
this year to allow the millions of fans down here to enjoy you once more. Along with Gram
Parsons and James Taylor you have influenced my own songwriting and for that kind of peace
of mind alone you have my unending gratitude and respect.

Dear Richie, I am such a big fan of yours and of Poco
and The SHF Band. And very proud of it as well. Listening to you while I was growing up
has had such an impact on my musical tastes now as an adult. The fact that I started
listening to your music first really helped me shape the kind of person that I am. That
whole country rock style that you introduced back then was so great and it still lives in
me to this day. Some people hear your cd's when I play them and they are not familiar with
you and I am very proud to tell them about you and who are and what you wrote and who you
played with. Whenever I am feeling not up to par, I just put one of your songs on and I
get back on track in no time. My sister introduced me to your style back in the day. She
took me to the concerts in Central Park at the Shaefer Music Festivals when every seat
costs the same and I can remember racing up to the front to get a front row seat to hear
Poco. I was very young then. What memories! I think to this day my favorite album of all
time is still A good Feelin to Know. What a Masterpiece!! Cmon.they were all great. Later
on I saw you guys at The Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ. I will never forget it. When I
had heard you cd, In My Fathers House, it was so nice to hear your beautiful voice again.
And the lyrics on the cd are so great and very inspirational. In my opinion, you have one
of the nicest voices ever. Keep singin'. Don't stop. Don't ever stop. Any chance of a full
Poco reunion in the NY-NJ area?

I stopped by the site for any news, and the site looks
great. I've been listening to Poco since the 80s, when I grew up. It was a tough era
because there was so much unemployment and drugs. Listening to Poco and Richie's music
paid a big part in my life because it was wholesome, something that I could not say about
most of the music of that era. Now that I'm an adult I feel even more lost because of a
lack of spiritual guidance from those around me. I believe there's too much immorality in
business practices, like hurting the environment and just getting rich people richer while
others go without basic needs, and in people's social lives. I tend to be withdrawn
because not many people around me share my values. It's hard to find a job that pays well
but does not involved comprising my values. I was raised a Catholic but we didn't go to
church and I feel like I would be unwelcome in a Catholic Church. Now I just feel like I
am a Christian without a home. I believe that Richie's music will help me now more than
ever. God Bless, Stephanie Royal Palm Beach, FL

Most people who post here thank Richie (as we should)
for over 3 and a half decades of great music! Richie gives the credit (as he should) to
the Author of music for his gifts. I respectfully suggest that all of us owe another debt
- Thanks Nancy! for being the Kind Woman who has obviously been a source of strength,
encouragement, and support to someone who in turn has blessed so many of us. "I Was a
Fool" on the "I Still Have Dreams" album was a decent song, but it would
have been a lousy epitath. Thanks to God, and to you, "I am sure" it won't be!

I'm listening to "I've Got A Reason" as I type
this. Been a fan for a long time. The pleasure I get is to have my friends listen to this
album, among others. You have a remarkable message and a God given talent. It's amazing to
see the progression in your music, but more importantly your beliefs. I know I'm somebody
in Southeastern Virgina, but I remember going to see you in concert here when you were the
opening act for Leon Russell. I went to the show to see the Richie Furay Band, not Leon
Russell. Be that is it may, thanks for the pleasure of your message, and the friends that
I have exposed to your sound are eternally appreciative! I know that your time is valuable

have made a profound effect on me and my life. Thanks, Darold Weber

Hey, Richie -- I was browsing in a CD store and stumbled
across "In My Father's House," deluxe edition. So I bought it. Wow. Great stuff!
I can't wait to play it for my 18- and 20-year-old kids, who are now appreciating the
great country rock music of the '70s (Eagles, Ronstadt, Poco, etc.). It's fun to reconnect
with your music; I have your old Poco and Springfield albums (I'm perhaps the biggest Neil
Young fan in the world). Richie, I'm a traditionalist who prefers singing old hymns in my
church to the trendy new "praise songs," which is what my kids would probably
call your stuff. But I find your songs fresh, dynamic, melodic, and substantive -- not
like the repetitive mantras we sing at our Sunday evening contemporary service. I'd love
to visit your church if we ever make it to Boulder on vacation. And hey, you need to add
Seattle to your concert itinerary -- I read that the Pacific Northwest is the most Godless
region of the country, based on church membership. May the Lord continue to guide you and
your ministry. Bless you for spreading the Good News -- you're a great rock 'n "roll
model!"

Hello Richie, I don't have any new adjectives that have
not been used by the other fans. I'm 55 and have been loving your vocals, lyric and music
since since I was 20, I guess that should sum it up. Maybe I should have asked you first
but I have taken the first step to get your name added to the city limits sign in Yellow
Springs, Ohio. As a musician in the 1970's, I played every hole in the road all over Ohio
and the bordering states and I have seen towns honor their native children from everyone
such as Thomas Edison to people that have not made near the contribution to the people of
planet that you have made. As best I can figure, your only competetor is Antioch College.
So, to the other people that might be interested in helping me achieve this, the email
address of the secretary of the village council is dbenning@yso.com. Well Richie, if you
would not like to be honored in this way, just let me know and I will withdraw my request.

Hello Richie--I wanted to let you know how much
listening to your voice all these years (the first timeI saw you was in the very early
70's with Poco at St. John's University. No matter where I was in my life--both good and
bad places--you could lift me up out of the worst of it--just by hearing you sing. And
that still is true today--older, happier than ever, fulfilled and content--and still your
voice can make my heart sing. So, thank you for that. Do you ever play here in New York?
Happy 2005.

hello again..I've just gotta say that I used to
apologise for really being into the music side of Christianity. I went to an early version
of a Jesus Festival to hear Chuck Girrard, Randy (somebody), 2nd Chapter of ACTs, ..i went
for the music.....music really ministers to the soul. It's like binary, it is our machine
language,,,,,so Thanks be to God Almighty for psalmists and worship leaders.......thanks

Dear Richie, I am not sure if you remember me or not, I
am a friend of B. Probert. Remember him? I have been living in México for the past 19
years. Once you helped the mission buy a cement mixer. Thanks for that nice gift. Getting
to the point, I wanted to record a song of yours on my new CD. "I waited," I
know you sang it but I am not sure if you wrote it or not. If you could help me with the
authorship of the song, I would be grateful. God bless you, your family, church and
ministry. In Him,His, Max

Hello Pastor Furay, I wanted to tell you what a powerful
testimony you presented on your website! It was very encouraging and I am happy to hear
that God prevailed. I also wanted to extend my condolences to you regarding the passing of
your friend and ex-bandmate, Bruce. I pray that he was a Christian though I don't believe
he was, not knowing for sure. Thank you for providing a powerful example to the rest of us
and blessing us with your music. Yours in Christ, Shawn Sindlinger

I just learned the sad news about Bruce Palmer and
needed a place to vent. The first album I ever bought was the first Buffalo Springfield
record. I played it so much that the cardboard started poking through the vinyl. I've been
playing music and writing original material (with absolutely no success I might add) most
of my life, and you guys are major reason for that. Total failure aside, it has really
enriched my life to have that art going. It's not just the guys who went on to big solo
careers and super groups, but I feel connected to all the Buffalo Springfield guys. I'm
really sad about Bruce. On a brighter note, I really enjoyed your book about the Buffalo
Springfield. I'm excited to hear about the Poco book because I was a major fanatic about
that group too. Keep the Faith Baby!

Sorry to hear about Bruce passing. The Springfield
influenced so many hometown bands. When I was a teenager in Thousand Oaks we had two bands
(California Grassfields and Santa Fe) that were total Springfield influenced bands. And
that's a good thing ! Richie, you keep doing it. You are a true muscian. Peace.

Happy Saturday Richie,.....Hope you have a wonderful
weekend.... Brother Victor was it? I grew up in N.Y., so I went to many a Poco show at the
same venues, and to this day, Poco is one of my top 5 favorite bands that I listen to on a
regular basis. Boy, I sure miss those days. Days gone by that we'll never see again, but
at least we have the ticket stubs, albums, CD's & a few left over memories. Alot are
blurry, but memories just the same. Have a great weekend everyone. Peace &
Love,.....Neil

Hello Richie. Thank you for all the joy and fun I had
growing up listening to you in POCO, The Richie, Furay Band and SHF. I must have seen POCO
100 times. Back in the days of concerts in Central Park in NY, we would go to every show.
We went to all the college shows in the NY area,as well as the old baseball stadium in New
Jersey, The Capital Theatre in NJ, The Calderon Theatre in Hempstead, NY., where you
announced that Al Garth was now a memeber of POCO. Man, was that short lived! The list of
venues goes on and on. The occasion I remember best was when you performed with The Richie
Furay Band in a small club in Roslyn, NY. It was called "My Fathers Place". I
went to the bar to get a drink for my date & myself. I sat at the bar and looked to my
right and to my surprise you were sitting there. Wow! You were polite and engaging and I
remeber walking back to my table saying "wow, what a cool guy! A lot of time has
passed, and the POCO days remain a part of my life that I look back on very fondly. Yea,
we were POCO nuts, always wondering why POCO could not "make it". I still wonder
about that today. The Richie, Timmy, Paul, George, Rusty version of POCO remains my
favorite. Thanks again.

Dear Richie ~ It is amazing how some things come full
circle...and they are not by coincidence, as you know :) I was just listening to your
music with Buffalo Springfield and Poco yesterday, thinking how much I had enjoyed it all
these years and wondering how the members of the band were. I logged onto another site
today and saw Bruce Palmer had passed which prompted me to do some web searching which led
me to your site. I am fairly new to computers and like you am amazed at how we can reach
out through cyberspace. I read your story and it was very moving. I want to thank you for
sharing and thank you for the beauty to your music has brought to so many of our lives. I
am so glad that I was able to come "full circle" from the day I first heard your
music to today so I could let you know you are in my thoughts and that during the tough
times in my life your music, along with God, got me through. I hope in the future you will
be playing nearby...until then peace to you and God Bless. Joy :) 10-12-04

Just surfed in to your web site and really like it. I
have been a big fan since Springfield days. I was in Santa Barbara in clllege at the time
and was hooked. Poco was even better. I have your In My Father's House and am looking
forward to your new one coming. Hopefully I can get the charts like I did for In My
Father's House. We are still using them for Worship services. IT's is so much and means so
much to me. And the very best part is that the sonngs add so much to the worshipper's
experience when we use them. Thanx and GOD bless, Fred

Richie-- Just met up yesterday with an old friend, rich
martin, who met you and talked to you at the recent appleton wi. conference--about hip
replacement, of all things. Then today, I go on-line and hear of Bruce Palmer's passing.
Springfield and Poco have meant so much to me since I was just a kid--I'm 50 now--that I
couldn't wait another minute, once I found your website, to write and thank you for years
of awesome joy in your music. My daughter is active in christian ministry and I have
introduced her to your music--we will both grow in faith in listening to both your older,
"classic" music and your new music of faith. God bless you and all in His

For something different to listen to online at work, I
opened a "Jesus Oldies Music" station. It was great as I grew up listening to
this music but haven't listened to it since. Although I prefer today's contemporary
rock/alternative Christian music, it was wonderful to hear the "oldies" again.
In particular, "Look At the Son" came on and it immediately took me back to my
youth. This led me to puruse the web to see if I could find out anything about you. I was
thrilled to find your official website. The website is first-class and your testimony
throughout it is so powerful. I'm glad to see you're still being blessed as your music
blessed me, so MANY years ago.

Hello Richie (again after 25 years). I started doing searches on Buffalo Springfield/Poco, etc. with the news that Bruce Palmer died Friday. As I heard it, he had a massive heart attack. So sad. Anyway, I have been a fan of your music since My oldest brother (10 years senior) came home from college with Buffalo Springfield Again and Last Time Around. I was all of 8 or 9 years old, but I knew I had heard the future. The next year he came home with Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young's first album and Pickin Up the Pieces (he was a DJ @ University of Denver). As he put it: "this one is getting all the airplay (CSN), but I like this one even better (Pieces). I had to agree with him. I had never heard something so bright, hopeful, energetic...blistering. I was hooked. Even though I'd love to get a chance to re-mix/produce it! In college at CU Boulder, you signed my Pickin Up the Pieces album at...was it Rocky Mountain Records and tapes?!? I am presently in a Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young tribute band (among others-my voice sounds like I'm Stills' twin-including the limited range!), where we sneak in Springfield (Kind Woman, A Child's Claim to Fame, Bluebird, Go & Say Goodbye) and Byrds' (Tambourine Man & So You Wanna Be a Rock & Roll Star) tunes. In the course of playing around the DFW area, we met Chuck Crews! He now plays with us between his more professional (meaning high paying) gigs. Anyway, I just want
