Thank you for your wonderfule music. I am a grey beard who listens to Springfield and Poco as if it came out last week. More importantly, thank you for your ministry. Unfortunately, the station that carried the Calvary Chapel broadcasts in our area has apparently caved. I really miss Greg and several other of the CC ministers. My best friend, with whom I have been playing music for 30+ years, is not a Christian and has not been very receptive to my (probably inadequate) initiatives and testimony. I pointed him to yours and he read it with interest. I wish blessings on you and your ministry. My wife and I were first blessed in our relationship with the Lord in a way similar to you in that I was literaly scheduled to see a lawyer the next day to begin the process of ending our marriage when He intervened and told me to stop. This was not a "voice" (I hope to actually hear that some day)but an absolute conviction. Secular counseling had been a complete failure, but the Lord's saving grace and His teachings of how to forgive delivered our marriage to us, as apparently it did to you and your wife - Praise the Lord! There was a particularly moving part of your testimony that convicted me of my sin in a particular area. You wrote of the time that you were separated from your wife and wanting so badly to be reunied with her and your daughter and how the Lord spoke to you that He wanted you to want Him that much and seek Him that much. Ever since I was saved I have prayed that, as spoken in the Parables, that I would not be shallow soil. Your wonderful testimony strengthened me to seek the Lord as strenously, and more so, as I seek the other things that are important. I have felt for some time that I was coasting in my Christian walk. I have shared this with the men in my small group and they have been strenghtend by this, as well.
