I had hoped to see you again in May, 1997 in Cleveland before Buffalo Springfield was initiated into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A friend of mine (who shall go nameless) was friends of the band and had received information that you were rehearsing with the possibility of playing a few numbers (publicly for the first time since 196 at the Crosby, Stills and Nash concert at the Cleveland Agora a couple of days before. My friend got us into the security area where the tour buses were and we met CSN who were walking around the area complaning that Neil Young didn't show up. I had flown in from Minneapolis and was disappointed to have missed history, but had a good time anyway. This is a true story- I was there. I just bought the tickets yesterday for my wife and I and her sister and husband to hear (and see) you and Chris Hillman on July 29 at the Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis. I saw you once before, on July 25, 1971 (I have the original poster framed in my house) with Poco at an outdoor music festival in St. Paul at a baseball stadium along with the original Allman Brothers Band, Little Richard and many others. I remember it was a hot day, you guys were the headline act and you were playing what appeared to be a Gretsch White Falcon. It was a great show and I knew I was seeing a legend.
