I was fortunate to see "Jimmy and his two girls" about two years ago when they came to the NPR radio studio here in Albany, NY. Brian and I were fortunate to get to talk to Jimmy after the show - about 15 minutes worth! Now if we can just get Timothy out on tour, the hero worship portions of our ives would be nearly complete! javascript:emoticon('') We were wondering if there are any unreleased songs of yours from any of your bands to be released soon, or if you know of any "bootleg" tapes floating around? We just don't want to miss anything you've recorded. My friend Brian and I have been fans of, and players in our own bands of, your music since the beginning and I am reasonably certain that I have everything you ever recorded - and I bought it when it came out to the masses - they weren't collected afterwords. All of Springfield, Poco, both SHF Band, your 3 solo albums and your three Christian music CDS. So, as you can see, you have been a big part of the soundtrack of my life. I don't want this to sound like a concert review, but the Iron Horse concert was inspiring. For a "church band" you guys were amazing - everyone is a star in their own right and the love of music and the fun of music came through the speakers crystal clear. The family harmony was absolutely beautiful and your daughter is a gifted singer. Please share my comments with the band. Thank you. I asked you how I could get some money to your church so that we could enter our daughter Lesley's name in the prayer book. You gave me a beautiful and meaningful answer, that "there was nothing we can do for her now, she made her decision, but we can say a prayer for you and your family," or words to that effect. Thank you for saying that - it actually helped move my healing process ahead further in a way that I hadn't expected. I think it was a very wise thing to say to me and am grateful for your compassion and understanding. We will send a check in the fall, only because my wife Barbara is a school teacher and won't get paid til September 15 or so.
