Have a great day!!! I am glad you found happiness in your faith, you have given me many happy and good times over the course of my life. I like all types of music but the real basic stuff - true country, bluegrass, blues, folk, and authentic rock and roll - the mix that Gram Parsons called "Cosmic American Music" is the best for my money. Lately I have been digging the stuff Norah Jones recorded with The Little Willies. My wife turned me on to those recordings - that little gal can really swing. Hard to believe she is Ravi Shankar's daughter. I remain to this day a huge fan of Buffalo Springfield and Poco, especially in its early days when you and Jim Messina were in the band together. I saw Jim and Kenny Loggins tour together two summers ago with my wife. Jim Messina is as good an instrumentalist as there is. You will enjoy hearing that in their second set (I saw them in Chicago) they played "Kind Woman". It was a really swell show. I was sad to hear them say Jon Clarke has passed away, he was an excellent reed man. None of the original backing musicians were with L&M but the young kids they brought on tour were excellent players who covered every instrumental part true to form. If you read this, let me say I hope you are doing well. I am a 52 year old guy with a 25 minute commute to work; today I drove it listening to "Don't Let It Pass By" and "Nobody's Fool/El Tonto de Nadie, Regresa" in the CD player. That is still the greatest extended instrumental of all, bar none. It gets cooking real good but it remains tight and polished as a good studio recording should be. Timothy Schmit plays very well on that one, he and George Grantham were a very underrated rhythm section let me tell you. I walked into the office whistling and in a great mood. Just wanted to say that when I was a kid and an aspiring 12 year old guitarist I saw Poco in August 1972 at a free concert at the Washington Monument. You guys were the first rock band I'd ever seen really close up and I've always considered that concert to be one of the most important musical experiences in my life. I remember how much fun you guys were having, Rusty's routine with the chair and Paul Cotton's tele playing was awesome. I mean, that was the real deal, all the equipment, the guitars, those slick vocals, so thrilling for a kid! So, I became a musician at that point.
