Just for me and you…

Richie Furay and Rusty Young Delivern' on stage together
We’ve dug into the Furay archives to bring up some photos, stories, articles… from the history of Richie’s career and everyone that was a part of it. The great archiver is the one and only “Kind Woman” herself. Let’s just say there is a ton of gems in this collection.
Please subscribe to the Richie Furay RSS and keep dropping by to see what’s new on Richie’s site.
This photo features Richie Furay and one of the great steel guitar players and musicians of all time. Of course it’s Rusty Young of Poco. The energy Richie and Rusty brought to the stage made you want to jump up and dance.
Well I’m goin’ to a Hoe Down
And kick up my heels
Go all night and never slow down
Yeah I love how it feelsCome on and go to the Hoe down
And kick up my heels
You go all night and never slow down
Bet you’ll love how it feels”

First concert I ever attended… Poco at Blossom Music Center (Ohio). Richie & Rusty (the Evil Knievel of the steel guitar) definitely got us up & dancing… kids dancing in the isles… on their chairs… so much so that security & police came into the crowd and started to remove people… I remember Richie saying “Leave them alone”… Timmy followed up with “I didn’t know it’s againest the law to have a good time”. Security & friends retreated from the pavilion and we all danced on… yes they could make you jump up and dance … and they still do
